The Challenge
In a world of constant digital connection, one simple everyday action still feels uncomfortable for many young people. Making a phone call.
Voice conversations are no longer part of their daily habits and that unfamiliarity often brings anxiety. AXA wanted to understand this shift as a cultural change and explore how to help young people rebuild confidence in the way they communicate, both personally and professionally.

Our Approach
Trendwolves led the full research and strategy process that shaped the Dare To Call campaign. Together with AXA, we explored how confidence can grow through small, everyday actions — like picking up the phone. The campaign became the first project of the broader Dare To confidence platform, translating AXA’s promise “Know You Can” into something real and relatable for youth.

Activation
- Conducted national research with 600 young Belgians on phone habits, anxiety, and communication styles
- Developed the Dare To Call: It’s All About Confidence campaign concept and strategy
- Created a dedicated website with downloadable Dare To Cards offering tips, challenges, and conversation starters
- Designed a “calling personality” quiz to help users discover their calling confidence type
- Brought the campaign to life through live activations in Knokke and Liège, featuring two red phone booths where strangers were invited to make a real call and experience how powerful simple conversations can be
- Developed a three-part Dare To workshop series with modules on understanding phone anxiety, building confidence, and real call practice
- Produced social media content, street interviews, and campaign videos to share real youth voices and experiences

Our impact
Dare To Call reached and engaged thousands of young people across Belgium, sparking open conversations about confidence, communication, and growth. It showed that even in a digital world, human connection starts with one small act — making a call.
