The Challenge
For many young people aged 12 to 16, adolescence is the first time they are truly responsible for themselves. They start forming their own opinions, navigating friendships, dealing with peer pressure, and making choices that shape who they become.
This phase of life often comes with uncertainty, pressure, and anxiety, which can lead to insecurity, behavioural issues, or poor decision-making. VLESP identified the need for a low-threshold, engaging way to help young people build mental resilience and learn how to cope with difficult situations — before problems escalate.

Our Approach
Under the motto “Every cloud has a silver lining”, VLESP and Create joined forces to develop Silver, a serious game that strengthens mental resilience through play.
At Trendwolves, we supported VLESP in the launch and promotion of the game, ensuring it reached both young people and the wider public. By combining gaming, mental health education, and smart communication, the project aimed to make an important topic accessible, relatable, and impactful for its target audience.

Activation
Silver was developed as a mobile game for iOS and Android, allowing youngsters to engage with challenging situations in a safe, playful environment.
To amplify its reach and credibility:
- We supported the media launch and press strategy, resulting in strong national attention
- The game was nominated for several awards, including the Belgian Game Awards 2021
- Four young ambassadors and influencers — Elias Verwilt, Tobe Vandekerckhove, Elindo Avastia and Jade De Winter (JustJade) — actively supported the project and helped spread its message among peers

Our impact
Silver succeeded in bringing mental resilience and youth mental health into the spotlight in an innovative way. By using a serious game format, the project lowered barriers to talking about difficult emotions and decision-making among adolescents.
The strong press coverage, award recognition, and ambassador support helped position Silver as a relevant and credible tool for young people navigating adolescence. Through this project, VLESP — supported by Trendwolves — contributed to empowering youngsters with skills that help them make more confident choices, now and in the future.
