Twiinz.World

Trendwolves developed Twiinz.world, a 3D digital world that turns Belgian furniture, woods and textiles into interactive objects.
Twiinz.World

The Challenge

Belgium has a rich history in different artisanal crafts like woodcraft and textile. Yet many young people are unaware of these industries and the opportunities they offer. To keep innovating, the sector needs new talent and renewed interest. Fedustria wanted to reconnect to young people (age 10-14) and remind them of our important wood and textile sectors in a playful and relevant way.

Twiinz.World

Our Approach

Trendwolves developed Twiinz.world, a 3D digital world that turns Belgian furniture, woods and textiles into interactive objects. Inside this environment, young people can explore, experiment and create digital versions of real Belgian materials. They can build their own dream rooms, dream gardens or dream classrooms and shape entire worlds with the objects they discover. The platform bridges the cultural heritage of these industries with the imagination and playfulness of a new generation, making wood and textile feel accessible, creative and future oriented.

What we did

Activation

  • Conduct a research on 3D-platforms
  • Developed the Twiinz.world concept
  • Digitalizing 100+ Belgian objects and materials
  • Testing and launching the concept successfully in 2024
  • Giving workshops to students at middle- and high-schools (2024 – present)
  • Organizing a Twiinz.world event, where the youngsters made their dream digital world into a crafted reality

What we achieved

Our impact

Thousands of children came in contact with a partly forgotten industry. We engaged the youngsters to think both functionally and creatively about the wood, textile and furniture industry. And by organizing the Twiinz.world event, we connect the digital world with the physical world.

Every project is different, but they all start with the same belief: youth culture is the key to relevance.
